$15-25/hr, 10-20 hrs/week + commission on sales
ZS Originals is a travel photography and storytelling personal brand.
Your job is to grow awareness of ZS Originals and get the work seen online and in print. You'll go through the archive and help shape which images go out and how their stories are told. Then you'll turn them into content that builds an audience and sells prints.
Curation
- Go through the private archive and select the best work using your own eye, then refine the picks with Zhan.
- Help keep files organized as you work through them.
- Maintain a pipeline of approved images for Instagram, the website and submissions.
Social media
- Manage and grow Instagram (@zhansarsenov) with a consistent posting rhythm, using the archive, supplied footage and reference templates.
- Balance posts designed to drive print sales with posts that simply share the work and the stories behind it.
- Brainstorm and pitch campaign and content ideas, such as themed series, print launches and trend-driven formats.
- Expand to other channels, such as Pinterest, as it makes sense.
- Share a short monthly update on growth, engagement, website traffic and submissions.
Awareness and exposure
- Research journals, magazines and competitions, then prepare and submit work with the goal of getting published.
What we're looking for
- You have a strong visual eye (photography, curation or content work).
- You have experience growing an Instagram account.
- You can edit short-form video such as Reels.
- You're comfortable working independently and taking feedback on creative choices.
- You write well, especially short, story-driven copy.
- You're a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and brings ideas to the table.
- A plus: a love of travel, film or digital photography, and fine art prints.
- A plus: layout or graphic design skills.

For the right person, the role can grow into:
- Coffee table book: help shape a ZS Originals book, including print selection, writing, design and concept.
- New print concepts: series, collages and out-of-the-box pieces for printing and framing.
- Influencer and PR outreach: find creators and press contacts, and send them prints.
- Exhibitions and partnerships: placements, exhibitions, pop-ups, group shows, collaborations and licensing.
- Full-time potential: the role may grow into a full-time position for brand coordination, branding and marketing across multiple upcoming ventures.
